Rind of 1 lemon
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 3/4 cups water
1 1/2 cup whiskey

4 lemons 12 cloves 2 tbsp maple syrup 1 3/4 cups water 1 1/2 cup whiskey

Stud 4 lemons slices with 3 cloves each. Place in a pan with 1 strip of lemon rind, 2 tbsp of maple syrup, and 1 3/4 cups water. Bring to the boil, then turn off the heat and leave to infuse for 5 min. Divide 1 1/2 cup whiskey and the 4 lemon slices between 4 glasses, discard the lemon rind, add the infused water, and serve.
