Coconut Turmeric-Curry Rice by

Ingredients

-1 1/2 cups Basmati Rice
-Coconut cream 1-2 tbsp to 1 can (Use in place of water if using a full can) (1½ cups coconut cream ¾ to 1 cup water)
-Generous sprinkle of turmeric powder (Always pair turmeric with black pepper. Black pepper boosts turmeric's absorption by up to 2000% due to piperine)
-Generous sprinkle of curry powder
-Salt & black pepper
-Optional: Bay leaf
-Optional: Ghee, clarified butter or olive oil drizzle

Instructions

Combine everything in a rice cooker and cook.

Pro Tip: You can freeze a can of coconut cream into ice cubes to toss seamlessly into the rice cooker. No need to melt prior. 1-2 tbsp sized cubes makes a great addition to several recipes.
