Inside Out and Upside down burgers by

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef
6 strips of bacon, cooked but not crisp, chopped
1 C shredded cheese (your favorite)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, gently fold together ground beef, bacon, cheese, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Form mixture into three round balls. Gently press burger balls into 1-2 inches thick patties. Chill for at least 30 minutes. Preheat the grill to high. Melt butter in a small saucepan. Remove burgers from the refrigerator; season with salt and pepper to taste. Lightly brush one side of each burger with melted butter; place, buttered-side down, on one side of grill; and reduce heat on that side to medium, leaving other side of grill on high. Cook for approximately 7 minutes with lid closed. Open lid, and brush top of burgers with remaining butter. Using an oiled spatula, gently lift patties, place, buttered side down, on opposite side of grill over high heat. Reduce heat on that side to medium and close lid. Cook for 5 minutes. Let patties rest, covered with foil for approximately 2 minutes. Place on buns and serve.
