Ingredients

150gr sugar
250gr flower
100ml milk
250gr butter
2 eggs
keep a tablespoon of egg for glazing the scones.

Instructions

1.preheat oven to 200C. 2.line baking tray. 3.beat eggs and milk together in a jug using a fork. 4.sieve flour and rub into butter until it looks like fine bread crumbs. add sugar and sultans (if preferred) and mix together. 5.make a well in the center and add most of the egg but keep a tablespoon for glazing. mix using a wooden spoon. 7.turn onto a flowered surface and knead very lightly for 8 minutes. roll out using rolling pin to 2cm thickness, no less. 7. use scone cutter to cut scones and glaze using egg mixture and pastry brush. place on baking tray. 8. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until golden. 9. allow scones to cool on a wire rack.
