Crockpot Carnitas by
Do not need that much pork, can add other spices.
3.5 lb pork roast
1 T dried thyme
4 bay leaves
1 cup (or more) chicken broth
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
Optional: bell peppers to stuff then bake
5 lb pork roast
T dried thyme
(or more) chicken broth
cloves garlic, chopped
Roll the pork roast around in salt and pepper to coat.
Heat olive oil in skillet and brown roast on all sides to seal in the juices (maybe 2-3 min per side).
Throw in the crockpot with all the other ingredients and cook on low for at least 6 hours.
Shred and then EAT.
Optional: Put in bell peppers and top with cheese, bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
