Cream of Broccoli Soup by

1 tbs butter
1/2 med onion, diced
2 small carrots, diced
1 lb broccoli florets
1 pinch baking soda
2 c chicken broth
1/2 c creamer


1. Coat the inside of your slow cooker pot with cooking spray.
2. Melt your butter in the slow cooker, and add the onions, carrots, and broccoli. Toss the vegetables in the butter.
3. Add the baking soda and broth to the pot.
4. Cover and cook on low for about 5 hours.
5. Remove the lid, season with salt and pepper and stir in the creamer. Serve the soup warm.
