Chicken Marsala by

This is my go-to romantic dinner.


1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup EVOO
4 Chicken breasts, should be flattened slightly (not super thick breasts)
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 cup red, dry Marsala wine (get the real Italian stuff) or Kroger's alcohol free Marsala wine


Mix salt, pepper and flour in a dish big enough to dredge chicken breasts in. Dredge chicken breasts in flour.

Heat EVOO in pan on medium heat. Brown breasts on both sides. Do not cook completely.

Remove chicken from pan, leave any gravy that is formed from oil and flour. Add mushrooms and marsala wine to pan. Add chicken on top of mushrooms.

Let mushrooms and wine reduce. Flip chicken and allow it to cook completely, about 15 minutes.
