Black Magic Cake by

Ingredients

13/4 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup strong black
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp vanilla

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting:
1 cup of softened margarine
4 ozs melted chocolate squares, sweet or unsweeten, cooled
6 cups powdered sugar
6 tbs milk
4 tsp vanilla


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two round cake pans or one 9x13 sheet pan.

In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, coca, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla, beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into pans, batter will be thin.

Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes or until center of cake springs back from touch or tooth pick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pans, then remove ad finish cooling on wire rack. Frost. I use chocolate buttercream frosting.

Frosting:
Mix ingredients listed above. Chill while cake is baking and cooling.
