Meringue for Pie (Lucille) by


6 T sugar
3 egg whites
1/4 t cream of tartar
1/2 c water
1 T cornstach


Mix cornstarch and water; bring to a boil sirring constantly. Let cool to room temperature. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cream of tartar and sugar slowly while continuing to beat at high speed. Beat in cornstarch mixture slowly. Soread over pie and brown in oven.
