Herbed Asparagus by


1 1/4 lb fresh asparagus, trimmed
4 T butter
1 clove garlic, halved
1 t minced fresh chives
1 T minced fresh parsley
1 t fresh lemon juice
s&p to taste


Steam asparagus until crisp-tender. Keep warm. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt butter and saute garlic over med heat until fragrant. Remove garlic. Stir in chives, parsey, lemon juice and seasoning; heat throughly. Place asparagus in a serving dish and pour sauce over. Serve immediatley.
