Creamy Marshmallow Fudge by

Source: Mom's Christmas Candy


2 Cups sugar
1 sm. can (2/3 c.) evaporated milk
16 lg. marshmellows
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 6oz. pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla


Combine in 3 qt. saucepan:
sugar, evaporated milk, marshmallows, & salt.
Cook over medium heat, stirring - all the time.
When bubbles cover entire top surface, boil & stir for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat & stir in butter, chocolate chips, nuts and vanilla.
Stir until chocolate is completely melted and blended into mixture.
Pour into buttered 9" square pan. Refrigerate. Cool thoroughly before cutting into squares.
