Ingredients
1  egg
2  cups sugar
1  cup Crisco
1  cup buttermilk
1  tsp baking soda (level)
1  tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3  cups flour - plus ? until dough holds its shape close to 4 cups
1  tsp. vanilla
1

s flour - plus ? until dough holds its shape close to 4 cups

Instructions
Mix all of above - roll out on floured board - thickness you prefer
use cookie cutter - cook 350 *  around 10 min. until cookie does not show fingerprint on top - This cookie does not brown on top.
Icing: 
1   box powdered sugar - sifted
1/2 stick of butter - melted
1   small can of evaporated milk - almost a whole can
Mix all until blended. Should be somewhat thick - not too runny-
this will harden on cookie. I have even used a small brush and brush on this icing - when doing this works best with a cookie rack on a 
cookies sheet to catch the icing - Enjoy!  After icing has hardened store in air tight container - might use wax paper between layers to keep from sticking - your call.
