Fruit Scones by

Ingredients

14 oz self raising flour
50 g margarine
2 oz caster sugar
1 medium sized cup of sultanas
1 egg
7-8 dessert spoons milk
Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Grease flat tin and preheat oven to 200 degrees

2. Sieve salt and flour together

3. Cut margarine to small pieces and add to mixture

4. Rub in margarine and flour

5. Add sugar and sultanas and mix through

6. Put milk and egg together, and add half of this to your mixture

7. Mix well and add more. Try to have mixture sticky enough to stay together

8. Put flour on roller and shelf

9. Roll mixture out until it is 2 cm thick

10. Cut scones with medium or small cutter

11. Brush with milk and egg

12. Pop them into preheated oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes
