Italian sub squares by

Ingredients

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 pound deli ham, thinly sliced
1/2 pound deli salami, thinly sliced
1/2 pound deli pepperoni, thinly sliced
8 slices provolone cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Prepare the Crescent Roll Dough:

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Press the dough to cover the bottom completely, including the edges.
Layer the Meats and Cheese:

Layer the thinly sliced deli ham, salami, and pepperoni evenly over the dough.
Place the slices of provolone cheese on top of the meats.
Add the Second Layer of Dough:

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the top of the meats and cheese. Press the edges to seal the dough together.
Optional Seasoning:

Brush the top layer of dough with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. This step will give the crust an extra flavor boost and a golden finish.
Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve:

Let the Italian Sub Squares cool for a few minutes, then cut into squares. Serve warm and enjoy!
