Scottish Shortbread by

1/2 lb. butter - no alternative
1/2 cup Berry or icing Sugar
2 1/2 cups flour


Mix together either by hand or mixer. Flatten on un-greased cookie sheet. Make about 1/4" thick or desired thickness. Bake at 300 degrees for about half an hour or until light brown. Keep an eye on it. Take out of oven and lightly score into squares. Cool and cut into squares.
