I first had this sandwich at a deli in Charleston, SC. It's like the sister to the Reuben.

Ingredients

4 slices Italian or French bread
1/2 pound thinly sliced pastrami
4 slices deli style Swiss cheese
2/3 cup coleslaw
Thousand Island salad dressing

Instructions

Spread one side of each slice of bread lightly with dressing.

Top two of the slices of bread with a slice of cheese, half of the coleslaw, then half of the Pastrami and then another slice of cheese.

Top with the second slice of bread, dressing side down.

Brush tops of sandwiches with melted butter and grill in a Panini press or frying pan till cheese is melted and bread is lightly brown.

Slice sandwiches diagonally and serve with chips, kosher pickle spear and extra dressing on side for dipping.
