Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts by

Ingredients

½ pound bacon
1 can whole water chestnuts
½ c soy sauce
¼ to ½ c brown sugar
Plain wooden toothpicks

Instructions

Place water chestnuts in a bowl and let them soak in soy sauce for a few minutes. Remove and wrap with one piece of bacon. Secure with toothpick. Place in baking dish. Top each with brown sugar and pour the soy that is remaining in the bowl over the top. Bake in preheated oven at 400 for 15 to 25 minutes or until bacon gets crisp.
