Daddy's Spaghetti by

Since this is my father's recipe, I've stayed true to it. My father doesn't cook with measuring spoons and cups but rather by his tongue. He periodically tastes whatever he's cooking, adding whatever he felt was missing. I've also added tomato paste to thicken up the sauce (since it is just juice). If you want a thick sauce, use 2 cans of tomato paste and incorporate before you add mushrooms.

Ingredients

A pound of hamburger meat
1 large can of Tomato Juice (I get the ones in the jug so it's easier to store if you don't use it all.)
A medium yellow onion
Minced garlic
Garlic powder
Mushrooms (optional)
Spaghetti noodles/ Angel Hair. Either is good with it.

Instructions

Dice your onion and toss it into a good sized pot. Add meat and minced garlic. Salt and pepper, then turn on your heat. Cook until the meat is brown and onions are translucent. Drain out the fat with a strainer, put back in pot and add tomato juice. Add mushrooms. Bring to simmer and cook for 30 minutes.

Boil noodles, drain and enjoy!
