Indian Fry Bread by


2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk (or buttermilk)
Oil for frying


Mix flour, salt and baking powder together. Add milk and stir to make stiff dough. Turn onto well-floured board and pat down to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into squares with a slit down the middle. Fry in a little oil and drain. Serve with syrup, powdered sugar or honey as a snack.
