Tres Leches (Milk Cake) by

Ingredients

1 & 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
5 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups milk
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk

1 & 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease and flour 9x13 pan. Sift flour and baking powder together, set aside. Cream butter and 1 cup sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, beat well. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture 2 Tablespoons at a time, mix until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 350*F for 30 minutes. Pierce cake several times with a fork. Combine milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk together. Pour over the top of cooled cake. Whip whipping cream, remaining 1 cup sugar, remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla together until thick. Spread over the top of cake. Top with a mixture of cinnamon sugar with a pinch of nutmeg. May top with fresh diced strawberries as well. Be sure and keep cake refrigerated, enjoy!
