Fruitcake Cookies by


2 pounds chopped candied mixed fruit
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
3 cups flour, divided
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2/3 cup milk & 3 Tablespoons milk


Preheat oven to 375*F. Mix chopped fruit and nuts in large bowl, cover with 1 cup flour. In another bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and eggs until fluffy. In a small bowl, combine remaining 2 cups flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add flour mixture and milk to sugar mixture. Then pour mixture over candied fruit, mix by hand at this point. Lightly spray cookie sheet or line with parchment paper. Drop by teaspoon. Bake 12-15 minutes.
