Peach Cobbler In a Skillet by


2 sticks (16 Tablespoons) butter, cut into pieces
2 cans peaches, drained
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
dash of sugar
2 cups flour
2 & 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup sliced almonds, optional


Melt 3 Tablespoons butter in large cast-iron skillet. Add peaches, 1/4 cup sugar, cinnamon and salt, cook until sugar dissolves. Remove skillet from heat. Combine flour, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, remaining sugar and butter in a bowl. Add milk and vanilla to make dough. Drop spoonfuls over peaches and sprinkle with almonds. Bake 30-35 minutes at 375*F.
