Cool Whip Walnut Blondies by

1 (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
1 (8-oz.) tub whipped topping, thawed
1 egg
1 (4-oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup walnuts, chopped


1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line 13x9-inch pan with ends of foil
extending over sides; spray with cooking spray.
2. Beat cake mix, whipped topping and egg in large bowl with mixer
until blended. (Batter will be stiff.)
3. Add chocolate and walnuts to batter; mix well. Spread onto
bottom of prepared pan.
4. Bake 23 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes
out clean. Cool completely. Use foil handles to remove dessert
from pan before cutting into bars.
