Shirley's Sour Cream Pound Cake by Wanda Dickson

Ingredients

1 cup (8 oz.) of sour cream 2 cups sugar 3 cups cake flour(Swanson) 2 sticks real butter 6 eggs 1/4 tsp.salt 1 tsp. Vanilla

Instructions

Beat butter until fluffy. Add part of sugar and mix until smooth. Add remaining sugar and beat until smooth and fluffy.
Add eggs,one at a time,beat well after each addition.
Stir in flavoring.
Add dry ingredients,alternating with sour cream.
Bake at 300 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until cake is done.
Cool cake 5 minutes before taking out of pan.
