Buttermilk Pound Cake by Wanda Dickson

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup butter or shortening 6 eggs 2 1/2 cup sugar 3 cup plain flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp. flavoring(lemon or vanilla)

Instructions

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift baking soda and flour together, add alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Mixing well.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
