This is also called Texas Frosting. Traditionally this frosting is poured over chocolate sheet cakes or brownies. This can also be used to frost home made donuts or cookies.

1/2 C butter 6 TBSP cocoa powder 5 TBSP milk 1 tsp vanilla extract 4 C Confectioner's Sugar 1/2 tsp salt

Over low heat, melt butter, add liquid ingredients. Whisk in sifted cocoa powder, add salt and confectioner's sugar. Whisk until all sugar lumps are dissolved. Continue whisking briskly until cake is ready to be frosted.
