German Potato Salad by Patty Mueller

Ingredients

*6 slices of bacon *1/2 cup chopped onion *2 tablespoons all purpose flour *1 1/2 teaspoonsalt *2 tablespoons sugar *1 tsp celery seed *1 cup water *1/2 cup vinegar (apple cider works best) *6 cups sliced cooked potatoes

Instructions

Cook bacon till crisp; drain and crumble, reserving 1/4 cup drippings. Cook onion in drippings till tender. Blend in flour,sugar,salt,celery seed,and pepper. Add water and vinegar, cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Add bacon and potatoes, tossing lightly, heat thoroughly, about 10 min.
