Oriental Chicken Salad by Powell family recipe book


Dressing: 3/4 C vegetable oil 4 1/2 T rice vinegar 4 1/2 T sugar 2 t salt 1 t pepper 2 packages of the chicken flavoring from the Ramon noodles Salad: 2 chicken breast cooked and shredded 1 head cabbage chopped (I just buy the already shaved cabbage in a bag) 1 bunch green onions chopped 1/4 C sunflower seeds 1 package slivered almonds 2 packages chicken flavored Ramon noodles 3 T oil


In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 packets of Ramon seasoning, veg oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper for the dressing. Cover and store in fridge. In a pan over medium heat, warm up oil. Add crushed Ramon noodles and almonds and cook until slightly brown. Let cool. I a large bowl, combine chicken, cabbage, onions, and seeds. Add the noodles and almonds to the cabbage mixture. Right before serving pour on dressing and toss to coat.
