Chicken Ala King by Mary Czechowicz

Ingredients

1 cup cold milk 2 tablespoons Gold Medal Wondra Flour 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 2 cups cooked diced chicken 1 small jar chopped plimento 1 small bag of frozen peas To make a family size portion of Chicken Ala King 8 cups cold milk 16 tablespoons (2 sticks)butter or margarine 1 cup Wondra Flour 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 8 ounces frozen peas 4 ounces (2 small jars) plimento 8 cups cooked diced chicken/turkey

Instructions

Start in large pot by melting butter, then add cold milk. Slowly fold in wondra flour. Heat all ingredients to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for one minute. Add cooked chicken(turkey), plimento and peas. Serve over toast or in potato baskets.
