Pineapple Sweet/Sour Sauce by kathleenjensen

Ingredients

3 T. cornstarch 1.3 cups chicken broth 2 T. soy sauce 1/2 cup wine vinegar 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 t. salt 1 t. minced ginger root 1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (unsweetened & undrained) 1 cup shredded green or red pepper

Instructions

combine cornstarch & broth in 2-quart sauce pan-blend thoroughly.

add soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, ginger root-blended, pineapple - blend.

cook over medium high beat about 15 minutes or until sauce thickens - stir constantly

stir in greden or red pepper

serve with fried won ton

makes about 5 cups
