Vanilla Butter & Nut Pound Cake by katciao

Ingredients

½ cups vegetable shortening 2 sticks margarine; room temperature 3 cups sugar 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 can evaporated milk (add enough whole milk to make 1 cup) ¼ teaspoon salt 6 eggs 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla nut butter flavoring

Instructions

DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN, must start in COLD oven. Grease and flour a tube pan (or two loaf pans). Cream all the shortenings together. Add sugar and salt gradually. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition. Add flavoring to milk and add alternately with flour to above mixture. Pour into bundt or loaf pan and place in cold oven. Bake 1 hour and 35 minutes at 325 degrees and do not open oven door while baking. Remove immediately from oven when done. Remove from pan immediately.
