Grandma Moretti's Spaghetti Sauce by jspencer

This recipe freezes very nicely. I usually let it cool then store in my freezer in mason jars, leaving room at the top for expansion. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil 2 med. carrots grated 1 med onion, diced small 3 gloves garlic, minced 1 pound ground turkey 2 teas salt 1/2 teas pepper 2 6 oz can's tomato paste with seasoning 2 15 oz cans tomato sauce

Instructions

Saute' the first 4 ingredients until tender. Lower heat and add turkey stirring constantly to make fine.

Add last 4 ingredients and stir. Add water to your preferred consistency.

Put lid on and bring to boil for 3 minutes. Lower heat and simmer two hours or transfer to crockpot on low.

I recommmend the crockpot. You won't have to keep an eye on it and the flavor to me is better. I have left it as long as 4 hours.

Serve over cooked pasta.
