Schaum Torte by cpeirson


4 egg whites 1 C sugar 1 t vanilla 1 t vinegar fresh sugared strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc vanilla ice cream whipped cream


Whip egg whites until stiff. While beating, slowly add vanilla and vinegar. Add sugar 1 T at a time, beating continuiously. Heap spoonfulls on greased cookie sheet making a small 4" torte with a center pocket. Bake at 275 until firm and dry (about 1 hr). Leave an extra 5 minues to avoid shrinking. Cool at room temperature.

Place ice cream in pocket; top with berries and whipped cream.
