Chocolate Pecan Pie by cpeirson


3 eggs 1 cup dark corn syrup 1/2 cup sugar 2 tablespoons of butter - melted 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup chopped pecans 6 ounces dark chocolate chips 1 - 9" ready made deep dish pie crust


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat 3 eggs until well mixed. Add dark corn syrup, sugar, butter, and vanilla to eggs. Stir until well blended. Add pecans and chocolate chips into mixture. Stir to make sure well blended into mixture. Pour mixture into pie crust.

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until done. Let cool on wire rack.

Serve with whipping cream or ice cream (or both) and a small leaf of mint.
