Belinda's Bran Muffins by ReliefSociety

Ingredients

2 cups bran buds 2 cups boiling water 2 cups All Bran 1 qt. Buttermilk* Mix and let sit a few minutes. Then cream together: 1 cup shortening 2 cups sugar add 4 beaten eggs then add: 5 cups flour 1 tsp. salt 5 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

May be stored up to days in the refrigerator. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.

*Substitution for 1 cup buttermilk: 1 T. lemon juice or vinegar then add enough milk to make one cup. Let sit for 5 minutes.
