Crockpot NOT-Refried Beans FAT FREE by LoLo

Ingredients

1 onion, peeled and halved 3 cups dry pinto beans 1 jalapeņo, seeded and chopped 2 T. Minced garlic 5 tsp. salt 1 3/4 tsp. blk. Pepper 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 9 cups water

Instructions

Put everything in crockpot and cook on high for 8 hours adding more water as needed. When cooked, strain and reserve liquid. Mash beans adding reserved water for desired consistency.
