French Hot Chocolate by DuncanLM

Serves 4-8


1 1/2 cups whole milk 1/2 cup heavy cream 2 tsp confectioners' sugar 1/2 tsp espresso powder 8 oz dark chocolate*, chopped Sweet whipped cream for topping *Use best quality chocolate, not chocolate chips.


In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk milk, cream, sugar and espresso powder until hot, NOT boiling.
Remove from heat and add chocolate, stirring until melted.
Return to heat and heat gently until very warm/hot, NOT boiling.
Serve with dollop of whipped cream.
