Baked Mac & cheese by Alissaxshafer

Ingredients

1 lb pasta 7 tbsp butter 1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic 2 1/2 tbsp flour 3 1/2 cups half and half 1/2 cup heavy cream 8 oz freshly shredded Colby Jack 12 oz freshly shredded cheddar 4 oz freshly shredded sharp cheddar 8 oz freshly shredded white cheddar 6 oz freshly shredded mozzarella 2 1/2 tbsp cream cheese 1 small package of bacon bits 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 1 tbsp paprika 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp parsley

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°

Boiled pasta until al dente in salted water

Strain, then mix in 2 tbsp of butter

Set aside

In a large pot melt remaining butter then sauté in minced garlic and flour

Cook until golden

Whisk in half and half and heavy whipping cream simmering until thickened

Slowly mix in 3/4 of freshly grated cheese mix until melted

Remove from heat and add seasonings, cream cheese, and 3/4 bacon bits

Mix pasta into cheese sauce

Put into baking dish & cover with remaining cheese and bacon

Bake for 15 minutes

Broil for 5 or until golden crispy on top
