Apple Betty – like a healthier pie without the crust by Emi

Ingredients

-4 cups sliced apples -1/4 c. orange juice -1 c sugar (I usually use 1/2 cup brown sugar) -3/4 c flour -1k/2 tsp cinnamon -1/4 tsp nutmeg -1/2 c butter (I use margarine)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375.

2. Place apples in bottom of baking dish

3. sprinkle with orange juice.

4. In separate bowl combine sugar, flour, and spices.

5. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

6. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve warm with ice cream.
