Meat Pie by Emi

Ingredients

-1 Pillsbury all ready pie crusts -1 lb ground turkey -1 cup chopped onions -2-3 garlic cloves, minced -2 cups frozen hash browns, or tater tots or French fries -½ cup chopped fresh parsley -¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro or 1 tsp dry -1 tablespoon flour -1 teaspoon salt -1 ½ teaspoons ginger -1 teaspoon cumin -1 teaspoon paprika -¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper -1 cup beef broth -1 tablespoon mayonnaise -2 tablespoons sesame seed -Peas and carrots

Instructions

1. Place 1 pie crust in 9 inch pie pan and press in bottom and up sides of pan, trim edges . Heat oven to 400.

2. In large skillet brown turkey, onions and garlic drain well.

3. Add potatoes, cook 5 minutes.

4. Mix the flour, salt, ginger, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper together in a small bowl.

5. Add with parsley and cilantro to beef mixture and stir until blended.

6. Gradually add beef broth, cook and additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly.

7. Spoon filling to pie crust- lined pan.

8. Top with second crust, trim and seal edges.

9. Cut 4 slits in top. Brush mayo over top crust and sprinkle with sesame seed.

10. Bake on lowest rack at 400 for 40-50 minutes, putting pie ring on at 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
