Cornbread by
Ingredients
1/4 cup oil (or butter)
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
Heat oven to 190.
Mix oil, milk & egg. Add cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar & salt. Stir until just mixed. The mixture will be lumpy. Pour into a square cake tin, spread batter evenly. Bake 20-25min or til done. Serve warm or cold, goes nicely with casserole for dinner.
