Baked or Steamed Carrots by Emi2

Ingredients

4-5 carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds 1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil Pinch of salt Freshly ground black pepper (optional) 1/2 tsp dried herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or oregano – optional)

Instructions

For Baking:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

1. Peel and cut the carrots into even-sized sticks or rounds.

2. Toss the carrots with olive oil, salt, and any optional herbs or pepper.

3. Arrange the carrots in a single layer on a baking sheet.

4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.


Steamed Carrots

Ingredients:

1. Peel and slice the carrots into even pieces (rounds or sticks).

2. Fill a pot with water and place a steamer basket over the pot. Bring the water to a simmer.

3. Add the carrots to the steamer basket and cover with a lid.

4. Steam for 8-10 minutes until the carrots are tender but still slightly firm.
