Sweet Potato / Potato Crisps by
Ingredients
1-2 sweet potatoes or regular potatoes, thinly sliced
1-2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
Pinch of salt
Freshly ground black pepper (optional)
Optional seasonings:
Herbs of choice (e.g., rosemary, thyme)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Leave the skin on for optimal texture, taste, & nutrition. Slice the potatoes or sweet potatoes thinly, about 1/8 inch thick. The thinner they are, the crispier they will get.
3. In a bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and any additional seasonings (optional).
4. Arrange on a baking sheet: Lay the slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Make sure they’re not overlapping to ensure they cook evenly.
5. Bake for 20-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the crisps are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them toward the end, as they can burn quickly once they’re near done.
6. Cool: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly to crisp up even more.
