Coconut-Oatmeal Crisps by
Ingredients
2 C sifted flour
1 t baking powder
2/3 C lard
1 C sugar
2 C oats
1/2 C nuts
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
1 C brown sugar
2 eggs
1 (4 ounce) can coconut
Instructions
Sift together flour, soda, baking power & salt. Cream lard with sugars til light & fluffy. Add eggs & mix well. Add oats & sifted ingredients. Stir in coconut & nuts. Mix well. Roll dough into balls about size of a walnut. Place on cookie sheet & bake in a moderate oven (375) for 10-15 minutes, or til lightly browned, yield: 6 dozen cookies.
