Ingredients
500 grams chicken breasts, sliced into strips
1 cup buttermilk (or yogurt)
1 cup flour
2 eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying or oil spray for the oven
Instructions
Cut the chicken breasts into long, even strips.
In a bowl, mix the buttermilk (or yogurt) with the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, then marinate the chicken strips for at least 30 minutes.
In a separate dish, place the flour along with additional spices, if desired.
In a third dish, whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt.
In a fourth dish, place the breadcrumbs or crushed cornflakes.
Dip each chicken piece first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs until it is well coated.
Fry the strips in hot oil until they become golden brown, or bake them in a preheated oven at 200C for 20 minutes, turning halfway through.
Serve hot with your favorite sauces.
