Pizza Chicken Crescent Roll by HWagner

Ingredients

~1lb boneless, skinless chicken breast Splash of olive oil Salt & pepper ~1c. Pizza sauce or pasta sauce ~1c. Shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Seamless Dough Sheet Grated Parmesan Oregano 1 egg

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325*
2. Pour a splash of olive oil in a baking dish
3. Put chicke breast in baking dish and season with salt and pepper
4. Bake, uncovered, 20-30 mins. or until juices run clear
5. While chicken is baking, line baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll crescent dough sheet. Cut horizontal strips 1" apart down each side of the dough.
6. When chicken is done, put in a medium bowl. Shred chicken using fork. Add pizza sauce and shredded cheese (adjust amount as desired).
7. Spread mixture evenly down the center of the dough.
8. Fold dough strips over top of mixture, alternating left and right to create a braid.
9. Lightly beat egg yolk, brush over top of dough.
10. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and oregano if desired.
11. Bake at 375* for 20-25 minutes (until golden brown)
12. Cut and serve!
