1 box Classic Yellow or White Cake mix
1/2 cup shortening or 1/2 stick butter
1/4 cup cold water
1 large egg
1 container vanilla frosting
Decorative candy bits

1 box Classic Yellow or White Cake mix 1/2 cup shortening or 1/2 stick butter 1/4 cup cold water 1 large egg 1 container vanilla frosting

Heat 375 degrees. Spray cookie sheets with non stick spray. Combine cake mix and shortening or butter in medium bowl at medium until a coarse meal forms. Add water and egg, mixing on low until a smooth dough forms. Shape dough into 4 dozen 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake 6-8 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Cool 1 minute. Remove to cooling rack, spread frosting over cookies. Sprinkle with decorative candy if desired.
