Crockpot Hawaiian Haystacks by

Ingredients

3 large chicken breasts
2 cups chicken broth
4 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons minced garlic
5 tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup milk or heavy cream
2 teaspoons onion powder
1˝ teaspoons salt (or to taste)
cooked white rice
optional toppings: pineapple, crispy Asian noodles, olives, green onions, red peppers, avocado, coconut flakes, etc

Instructions

Fill your slow cooker with chicken broth. Add chicken breasts. Cover and cook for 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
minutes before serving, shred the chicken with two forks and keep in slow cooker.
In a pan or skillet melt butter over medium heat. Stir in garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Add flour to pan and stir until mixture clumps up. Slowly whisk in milk. When mixture is thickened, stir in onion powder and salt.
Add cream mixture to slow cooker and stir to coat chicken. Cook for another 15 minutes. Serve over rice with your favorite toppings.
