Lean Pizza Sauce by

Roll pizza dough of your choice to a 13" circle. Transfer to pizza pan and bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes. Pour mixture on top of pizza crust and top with cheese, Italian seasoning, and anything else you like on your pizza; like black olives, mushrooms, etc. Bake more till bubbly.

Ingredients

1/2 lb extra lean ground beef (buffalo meat is good)
1 clove of garlic minced
1 can (16 oz) of crushed tomatoes
1/2 c of chopped bell pepper
1 1/4 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp fennel seed
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup shredded mozzarella

Instructions

Brown beef, onion, and garlic put on top at last minute so it doesn't burn.
Stir in tomatoes, bell pepper, oragano, basil, fennel, and salt.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently uncovered for 30 minutes.
