Homemade Ice Cream - Family Recipe by

This is a family recipe that makes delicious homemade ice cream - different flavors can be made by adding those additional ingredients to the milk mixture. Bananas, chocolate, or any other flavoring.

Ingredients

1 Gallon WHOLE milk
1 Can eagle brand Condensed Milk
2 1/4 C sugar (white or brown)
5 beaten eggs
2 tbsp vanilla extract
5 junket tablets

Bags of ice
Rock Salt
News paper

Instructions

Warm milk and blend in sugar, condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla. Make sure milk isn't too hot so eggs don't start to cook when added.

Dissolve junket tablets in 2-3 tbsp warm water and add once milk mixture is in the freezer.

This recipe uses an old-fashioned ice cream freezer that you churn - or one that is electric churning, Ice cream is done once churning stops or becomes difficult to churn.

Add ice and rock salt to outside to make sure freezing occurs. Continue to add layers of ice and rock salt as it melts and comes out of the bucket. Fill and Top off with ice and paper once done churning until ready to eat.

Store in tupperware in freezer for continued enjoyment.
